Who May Attend?

Legal residents of the state of California who possess a high school diploma or equivalent or are 18 years of age or older and have the ability to benefit may attend Cuyamaca College.

High school students who have completed the 10th grade, and are at least 14 years of age at the opening day of the session, may attend with approval of the appropriate high school official, the appropriate college official and the student’s parent. Click this link for more information.

Nonresidents may attend by paying the established nonresident tuition, enrollment, health services and student center construction fees. To obtain resident status, a student must establish both physical presence and intent in California for more than one year immediately preceding the residence determination date for a term.

How Do I Enroll?

New Students
  1. Complete an application for admission online. There is no charge for the application.

  2. You will be asked to have your math and English skills assessed. These assessment results are not used to determine admissions, but are used in suggesting courses to be taken. An orientation and advisement workshop will follow the assessment. If you are transferring from another college official transcripts are needed to clear prerequisites and to award prior credit.

Please make your assessment appointment online on WebAdvisor.

NOTE: Cuyamaca College only accepts official transcripts by mail. Official transcripts sent to us by fax or email will not be accepted.

  3. The next steps are to select your classes, see a counselor, if necessary, and then register. In most cases, registration can be completed through WebAdvisor. Please visit here for a tutorial on how to use WebAdvisor.

  4. The final step in completing your enrollment is to pay your fees. Fees can be paid through WebAdvisor by credit card, mailed to the college cashier or brought to the Cashier's Office on campus. See the College Catalog for more information or check the Financial Aid page to see if you might qualify for a fee waiver.
Continuing Students
  • If you have been enrolled in classes at Cuyamaca or Grossmont College anytime within the last semester, you do not have to complete a new application for admission. Summer sessions don't count; if you did not attend the summer session, you do not have to reapply for the Fall or Spring semesters.
Returning Students
  • If it has been more than two semesters since you have attended Cuyamaca or Grossmont College, you MUST submit a new application for admission. To fill out a new application:
  1. Complete our Online Application for Admission. You will have to login using your CCCApply username and password. If you have difficulties please click on "I Forgot My Username or Password" to retrieve your account information.

  2. Make sure all your information is up-to-date. Applications will be updated within 24 hours of submission.
