Who may attend?
Legal residents of the state of California who possess a high school diploma or equivalent or are 18 years of age or older and have the ability to benefit may attend Cuyamaca College.

High school students who have completed the 10th grade, and are at least 14 years of age at the opening day of the session, may attend with approval of the appropriate high school official, the appropriate college official and the student’s parent. Click this link for more information.

Nonresidents may attend by paying the established nonresident tuition, enrollment, health services and student center construction fees. To obtain resident status, a student must establish both physical presence and intent in California for more than one year immediately preceding the residence determination date for a term.

How do I enroll?
1. The first step is to complete an application for admission.  You can
apply on-line.  There is no charge for the application.

2. You will be asked to have your math and English skills assessed.  These assessment results are not used to determine admissions, but are used in suggesting courses to be taken. An orientation and advisement workshop will follow the assessment.

3. The next steps are to select your classes, see a counselor, if necessary, and then register.  In most cases, registration can be completed on-line through WebConnect/WebAdvisor.

4. The final step in completing your enrollment is to pay your fees.  Fees can be paid through College Connection or WebConnect by credit card, mailed to the college cashier or brought to the Cashier's Office on campus.   See the College Catalog for more information or check the Financial Aid page to see if you might qualify for a fee waiver.

**     The mandatory health fee supports the Health & Wellness Center program. Students who depend exclusively upon prayer for healing according to the teaching of a bona fide religious sect, denomination or organization may petition for an exemption from the health fee by submitting a written request to the Office of Admissions and Records. Requests for exemption will be reviewed by the Dean of Admissions and Records and the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. For additional information, please contact the Health & Wellness Center at (619) 660-4200.

Low-income California residents may have the fees waived. It is recommended that students budget approximately $400 per semester for books and supplies.

Students attending both Cuyamaca and Grossmont Colleges pay parking fees on ONE CAMPUS only. Enrollment fees for these students are calculated on a district basis.
