Background

Teaching

I love teaching physics!  This is my 15th year here at Cuyamaca College and I truly love it.   I vowed to never forget what its like to be a student.  As a student in school, I worked very hard and was expected by all my best teachers to work very hard.  I will never forget them!  As a student in everyday life, I am always learning.  As a teacher I try to bring my knowledge, experience, and passion for physics into your lives in a way that reaches you and enhances your appreciation for the world and wonders around us.

Physics

I have always been a curious character so becoming a physicist was a natural evolution for me. I currently hold Bachelor and Master's degrees in Physics with emphasis and interest in both experimental and theoretical physics. My thesis dissertation is entitled:

"1.523 μm Transition Helium-Neon Laser
Frequency Stabilization Using Zeeman
Beat Frequency Phase-Locked
 Loop Thermal Feedback"

Someday I will return to school to earn my PhD.  This will take place sometime after both of my children have entered college to pursue their dreams and my wife has decided that she can put up with me as a student again :-).

My Other Work

I am a Research Physicist at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) at Campus Point Drive, San Diego.
