For a start, here are the answers to three of our most frequently asked questions. For a complete description of admission procedures and various other record keeping issues, consult page 14 of the College Catalog. Be sure to call us if you have any further questions.
WHO MAY ATTEND?
Legal Residents of the state of California who possess a high school diploma or equivalent or are over 18 years of age and have the ability to benefit may attend Cuyamaca College.

High school students who have completed the 10th grade may attend with approval of the appropriate high school official, the appropriate college official and the student's parents.

Nonresidents may attend by paying the established nonresident tuition, enrollment, health services and student center construction fees. To obtain resident status, a student must establish both physical presence and intent in California for more than one year immediately preceding the residence determination date for a term.

HOW DO I ENROLL?
The first step is to fill out an application for admission. There is no charge for the application. You will be asked to take assessment tests in math and English. These test results are not used to determine admission, but are used in suggesting courses to be taken. The next step is registration which in most cases can be completed by telephone. See the College Catalog pp. 14-17 for more details.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The cost is $13 per unit for California residents. Non-resident fees are $111 per unit. Low income California residents may have the fees waived. Miscellaneous fees for parking, health and campus activities are approximately $40 per semester. It is recommended that students budget approximately $300 per semester for books and supplies. A more complete breakdown of costs follows:
