CARE Program

Program Description

CARE is a state-funded program designed to recruit and assist recipients of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)/CalWORKs who would like to attend college. To be eligible, participants must be single parents with at least one child under the age of 14. Participants must also qualify for the EOPS program.

Program Eligibility

. You have been determined EOPS eligible

. You are single and head of household

. You are at least 18 years of age

. You have at least one child under the age of 14

. You, or your dependant child currently receive CalWORKs

How Do I Apply?

. Complete the EOPS and CARE applications and submit to the EOPS Office

. Complete the EOPS eligibility process

. Meet with a CARE counselor to discuss necessary documentation

Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
