Our faculty has years of professional experience. Each instructor is well-qualified in specific fields and has a wealth of practical knowledge and skill to share with students. Classes are usually of a size that provides for individualized attention in a professional learning environment.

English as a second language

Program information

English As A Second Language (ESL) classes are designed to improve:

  • Reading English
  • Writing English
  • English Grammar
  • Listening
  • Speaking skills

Learning English will help students attain employment or pursue degree and certificate programs that use English as the language of instruction.

The ESL program is divided into 4 levels. Students should see a counselor to select additional courses in other areas for which their language skills will be acceptable.

Level 1- Basic college ESL


Level 2 - Low Intermediate college ESL


Level 3 - High-intermediate college ESL


Level 4 - Advanced college ESL


Students will receive an "ESL Certificate of Completion" when they complete ESL Level 4 with a grade of "C" or better or “Pass”.
