How to Access, Open and Personalize the Grammar Software
Program
To access and open the grammar program at college do as follows:
- Log into your private account at college and wait for your profile and folders to be loaded.
- Click on Start button.
- Move the mouse pointer on Programs.
- Move the mouse pointer to Language Arts.
- Move the mouse pointer to English.
- Move the mouse pointer to Focus on Grammar.
- Click on appropriate level of the program you need, for example Intermediate
- The main window for Focus on Grammar will open.
To start a new workbook and personalize the program for the semester, do as follows (these steps have to be done once per semester):
- Click on Start New Workbook.
- A window with the title of “Please name your workbook. Add .WBK to the end.” will open.
- In the File Name: box, type in your name followed (without space) by a period (.) and wbk. For example:
Anwar.wbk or Maria.wbk.
- Open the Drives: box and click on h:\\coyote1\yourName. For example:
h:\\coyote1\anwar or h:\\coyote1\maria.
- Click OK.
- Part Menu for the program will open, select the required section and start working.
To open your personal file created with the steps a through e above, for the remaining of the semester, you have to follow the following steps:
- Follow steps 1 through 8 given above to open the Focus on Grammar program.
- Click on Open Old Workbook.
- A window with the title of “Select your workbook.” will open.
- Open the Drives: box and click on h:\\coyote1\yourName. For example:
h:\\coyote1\anwar or h:\\coyote1\maria.
- In the window below File Name: box, your personal file will appear. For example:
Anwar.wbk or Maria.wbk.
- Click on yourname.wbk to select it.
- Click OK.
- Part Menu for the program will open; select the required section (where you stopped working last time) and continue working.
