Beginning with Summer 2010 the
Department of Education has made available the Year Round Pell program.
Students may now receive more than the 100% of their Pell grant in an
award year. Because Year Round Pell is a complicated new program there
have been delays in the awarding and disbursement of Pell grants for
summer. Despite the tremendous increase in demand for financial aid,
the Cuyamaca College Financial Aid Department is determined to make sure
that this new program runs correctly and follows federal regulations.
We apologize for the inconvenience this delay may have caused and
appreciate your patience and understanding.
The
summer award disbursement should occur on September 9, 2010.
Please note, the date that appears on the
online award notification may indicate an incorrect date other than the
date above.
Cuyamaca College
offers a full array of financial aid programs available to full-time and
part-time students.
In 2009-2010, Cuyamaca College administered over $11 million of
state, federal, private and institutional student aid. Federal/State
and private funds are awarded to students in the form of grants, scholarships, loans
and work-study.
Please use the information available through our website to learn more
about financial aid eligibility requirements, and the financial aid you
might be eligible to receive.
We encourage everyone to
apply for financial aid!
