Financial Aid and Academic Planning Course

Students who are first-time Cuyamaca College financial aid applicants are required to successfully complete the Financial Aid/Academic Planning Course (There is NO FEE).  A student's financial aid application will not be considered complete until this requirement has been met.

This is a one-time, no fee, 8-hour non-credit course. You must complete the entire "Financial Aid and Academic Planning Course" to be eligible to proceed with the financial aid process.

In this course you will learn about:

  • financial aid resources available for education

  • regulations for determining and maintaining eligibility for federal and state financial aid

  • students' rights and responsibilities in receiving aid

  • how to prepare income/expense budgets

  • how to develop and follow a "Student Educational Plan" that meets your educational goal.

Students can complete this course either on-campus or on-line.
