American Sign Language
Instructor: Dr. T. Botz
ASL 120

Purpose: This research guide has been developed by your instructor and librarian to help you complete your final project.

Final Project:
You will prepare a final project using the sign language skills they have developed including their knowledge of Deaf culture. You may select a song, poem, writing, or compose/write their own work. In your presentation, you will need to explain why you made this selection and discuss the significance of this selection to your knowledge of Deaf culture or other cultural understandings and learning's. The project should incorporate the signs learned during the semester so it is understood by other class members. (Students may introduce new signs in their presentation but need to teach those signs to their classmates.) In order to help you prepare a successful final project, you will submit sections of our project at various points during the semester. The due date for each section is listed in your syllabus.
