How to do company research
 This research guide has been prepared by your instructor and your librarian to help you complete your Business  research assignment.

Searches for company information, you'll need answers to these questions:

• Find company profiles in the e-database called Business and Company ASAP.
  STEP 1: At Library homepage, open to "Gale PowerSearch"
  STEP 2: Next screen is the "Basic Search" dialog box. Click on the phrase "34 databases".
  STEP 3: Next screen 1) deselect/uncheck the box  "Select All";
                               2) scroll down to check the box "Business and Company ASAP"
                               3) and press the Continue button.
  STEP 5: Next screen is a Keyword Dialog box. Change this screen from Keyword to Subject.
  STEP 6: Next screen is the Subject search dialog box. Type in the name of your company.
  STEP 7: View the "READ about company".
   
• Is the company U.S.-owned, or does it part of an international corporation?
  Some quick places to check for capsule profiles are Yahoo. Brief profiles of more than 1,600 companies are available at WetFeet.com and Washington Post's Top Private Companies
