RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT:
Your assignment is to prepare an oral presentation. You must explain the process and give instructions on how to prepare a dish.  Discuss a recipe from your country by explaining the cultural history behind the recipe, its origins, and geographic background. 
Include a map and visual aids, such as photographs,  to support the presentation, in addition to step-by-step written instructions on how to prepare the dish.
 
PURPOSE
The purpose of this website is to help you locate a map of your country and to find books on your country.
 
SEARCHING FOR A MAP IN THE LIBRARY CATALOG
You will need a map of your country for your oral presentation. To find a map, use the Library Catalog: advanced search module
STEP #1: Scroll down to the search box "ITEM TYPE" and highlight "MAP". 
STEP #2: Scroll back up to the search box WORDS and PHRASES and type in "Middle East".  The results will be maps cataloged at Cuyamaca Library. 
STEP #3:At this point you must double click on the VIEW button.  Look for the Map number.
STEP #4: Write down the MAP # and ask for the map at the 1st floor desk.
 
REFERENCE BOOKS
 
Cuyamaca Library has a reference collection of international cookbooks. Find the books on the shelves by the call number Ref TX 725. For example:
Middle Eastern Cooking (call#: TX 725 N36 N52)
