Employment Opportunities for Illustrators

Illustration is a wide ranging field that offers many opportunities for employment. Digital Illustration can encompass traditionally created works that are scanned or otherwise imported into a computer and saved in appropriate formats for many possible uses. Of course, it also includes works that are created entirely or partially with digital tools. Many fields have a need for illustration work including: finance, health, biotech, marketing, advertising, science, cartography (map making), daily newspapers and periodicals, book publishers, comics and animation, game design, packaging, logo design, to name a few.

This site is designed to lead you toward useful information regarding graphic design/commercial art careers.  Many resources may be accessed through the Cuyamaca College Library.
