 PROJECTS

  • I am coordinating the Library SLO and completed a pilot assessment study. (Read more).
    I presented my SLO research findings to the Academic Senate Accreditation Institute (March 20, 2010) and completed the Cuyamaca Accreditation report

  • I rec'd my 1st Basic skills grant to complete a second project titled, "The Role of the Library in Serving ESL Students: building an ESL Library Collection." in 2010. As a result of this BSI grant, ESL faculty and students are being introduced to the library reading collection. (Read more)

  • I rec'd a 2nd Basic skills grant to complete a project titled, "ESL Library Skills: integrating library skills into the ESL curriculum" in Spring 2009. As a result of this BSI grant, ESL faculty and ESL students are learning information competency skills in ESL level two classes. (Read more)

  • I am on the Basic Skills Taskforce and have been instrumental in integrating Library SLO's into the Basic Skills Program SLO's (Read more)

  • I work closely with the Cuyamaca Paralegal Division to make sure the library law collection meets the American Bar Association (ABA) Approval standards. (Read more)

  • One of my ongoing projects is to design research guides that are specific to faculty assignments and integrate info comp into the curriculum. My project was initially funded by a three year grant titled FSS Information Competency Grant (1999-2002).

  • I was also able to integrate info comp into all GE courses as part of the General Education Reform taskforce (1998-1999). (more details General Education Reform)
