The College approved the General Education core values that includes information competency.  The biggest challenge is to develop a library program to integrate information competency into the curriculum.

How did we do it?  The Fund for Student Success (FSS) grant allowed me to move the implement process quickly.  I developed course-specific research guides to encourage all faculty to integrate information competency into their individual courses.

The FSS grant was titled,"Using the Web to Integrate Information Competency into the General Education and Vocational Education Curriculum".

The goal of this grant project is to integrate information competencies into the general and vocational curriculum at Cuyamaca College.  The Project Director , Jeri Resto, will work closely with individual faculty to develop twenty-five course-specific research assignments each year that include an information competency learning module.
