The Cuyamca College Library is actively involved in the Basic Skills process

  • College-wide Basic Skills Student Learning Outcomes

    Establish & Monitor Goals

    Define their life, career, and/or educational goals, and develop and monitor an action plan for successfully achieving those goals

    Utilize Campus Resources

    Identify, navigate, and consistently utilize campus resources (including but not limited to the library, bookstore, counseling, Writing Center, STEM Center, General Tutoring Center, DSPS, computer labs, and financial aid)

    Apply Essential Academic Skills

    Apply essential reading, writing, ESL, mathematics, study, learning, communication, and information technology skills to succeed in college-level courses

    Apply Life Skills

    Apply life skills such as following directions, time management, punctuality, respect for self and others, and ability to work effectively within groups to succeed in college-level courses
