Physical Fitness: Hatha Yoga

Physical Fitness for Optimum Health: Running

Health and Fitness (NCHS 1021)
This is an open-entry, open-exit course to develop and enhance a student’s knowledge of the importance of healthy lifestyles and to further develop skills which facilitate a personal fitness program.  Students participate in specific activities that develop an individual’s level of physical fitness including cardiovascular efficiency, body composition, muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility.

This is a renewal course for individuals who possess a current CPR/  First Aid card; or a card that has expired no more than 30 days prior to the day of class. Course will review recognizing and responding to emergencies and will cover adult/child/infant CPR, obstructed airway, blood borne pathogens and universal precautions. Heartsaver A.E.D. Training
(NCHS 1030)
Course will provide students with the basic skills and knowledge needed to recognize a victim in need of the Automated External Defibrillation (AED) device. Students will also learn how to properly use the AED device. Adult/Child CPR and obstructed airway techniques will be covered and practiced. After successful completion of a written exam, student will receive an Adult/CPR/Heartsaver AED  card valid for two years.

Basic Life Support: Cardiopulmonary
(NCHS 1017)
This BLS HCP course teaches individuals to recognize and respond to emergencies. It will cover Adult/Pediatric CPR and obstructed airway skills, in addition barrier devices, bag-mask device, use of an AED. After successful completion of a written tests and skills, student will receive an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare provider CPR card valid for two years. Please dress comfortably.

Cancellation Policy

You must cancel at least three working days before the start of class. You may go to the Continuing Education Office to obtain a withdrawal slip to bring over to the Cashier's office, or a check will be mailed to you. If your cancellation is received less than three working days before the scheduled class, you will be charged the full amount of the class.
