T'ai Chi (1005)

Fee: $40

This ancient Chinese exercise form consists of a series of classical martial art postures which gracefully flow together in slow motion. It emphasizes mental tranquility, inner awareness, and relaxation. Enjoy  a park like setting on Saturday as most of our classes meet outside. The Thursday class meets indoors.

Power Yoga (1040)

Fee: $40

A very active class, based on Ashtanga yoga, which emphasizes the use of yoga poses to strengthen your body, increase flexibility and balance and improve your breathing to optimize your overall fitness.  Make your body a better vehicle for your mind.  Tune/tone yourself up to get the most out of your life.  Please wear exercise clothing and bring a towel and a yoga mat.  Extra energy optional.

Lunch Break Yogilates (1150)

Yogilates is a balanced blend of Yoga & Pilates, emphasizing core strengthening. Great for all levels of fitness, this workout will also help create flexibility and improve posture. This 45 minute class was designed for those looking for a great mid-day stress relief.

Vinyasa Yoga (1120)

Vinyasa is a steady, dynamic flow of connected yoga postures linked with breath. The intention is to cultivate stillness, endurance, and strength in the physical body. Practicing yoga will develop intelligence in the mind and create kindness and generosity in the spirit. Class is open to all levels of Yogi's.

Healthy Weight Training (1170)

Fee: $45

 This class is designed to use free weights and machines to promote and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle using free weights and machines.  Warm up techniques and mat exercises will also be covered.

Circuit Training (1165)

Fee: $45

Great for any fitness level, this full body workout will include both aerobic and muscle conditioning exercises. It is fast paced and uses different modes of exercise: bikes, jump ropes, steps, weights, machines, dumbbells, and body weight exercises. This workout is great for getting a lot accomplished in a short amount of time!

Water Aerobics (1160)

Fee: $35

This water aerobics will combine both shallow and deep water aerobic activities that will help develop and maintain cardiovascular endurance as well as core muscles. Aqua Jogger belts, foam dumbbells, and pool noodles will be used to enhance workouts. Swimming skills are not mandatory, but participants should be comfortable in deep water to maximize the workout. The pool is heated to a comfortable 81 degrees!

Marathon Running (1155)

Fee: $120

This course will prepare beginner and intermediate runners to complete the San Diego Rock "n" Roll Marathon in June. Runs and workouts will be accompanied by clinics to educate students on everything they need to know to run a marathon. Learn about the different aspects of training including choosing the right shoes, preventing injuries, basic physiology, training concepts, pre-race and during race strategies and tips, and nutrition. Class will meet once during the week for a workout and once on the weekend for a long run.
