The Basics of Growing Wine Grapes (1205)

The course will cover: grape varieties, parts of the vine, rootstock, climate, geology, the seasonal cycle from bloom to veraison to harvest to winter dormancy, trellising and pruning, and vineyard practices for high quality grapes.

Grab your passport. Spend six weeks in the world’s major wine
regions, learning to read the labels and know what's in the
bottle. Learn about the different wines and regions of France,
Italy, Spain and more, and what the U.S. label law does and does
not tell you. You will be able to ask better questions next
time you want a great Cabernet or want to explore Pinot noir
from 12 different California regions and the Willamette Valley
in Oregon.
