Presenter(s): Cathy Bowyer, Athletic Director Intercollegiate coaches will meet with Athletic Director and Department Secretary to learn policies and procedures for developing game schedules, using team budgets, travel orders and planning. A handbook with forms and documents will be studied and reviewed. Participants will certify their training is complete. This in-service is for intercollegiate coaches and their staff only.

Presenter(s): Anthony Zambelli Sexual Harassment is not only detrimental to the learning environment, it is illegal. This workshop will cover the laws against sexual harassment, descriptions and examples of sexual harassment, and suggestions on how to prevent sexual harassment in your classroom.
Insights into Student Feelings, Behaviors, and Attitude Through Art
Therapy Presenter(s): Dr. Marie Ramos Art Therapy activities involving students can be an eye opening experience into how students perceive themselves and others. Join Dr. Ramos as she discusses her student art attendance “slips” to gain valuable insights and information into student feelings, behaviors, and attitudes. A brief introduction about Art Therapy will be covered along with hands-on art expressions/experience for the participants. (suggested $2.00 donations to cover art materials).

and Mayhem in the Chemistry Lab Presenter(s): Laurie LeBlanc Learn techniques of forensic analysis. Participants will have the opportunity to try out several techniques including ink analysis, blood spatter analysis and drug testing.

Training for Faculty Presenter(s): IS Staff Cuyamaca College is implementing a new online system for management and submission of attendance and grade rosters beginning Summer 2008. This system will replace the current method of using paper rosters. All faculty teaching Fall 2008 should attend one of these sessions to learn how to use the new system. 110 Course Coordination and Best Practices Presenter(s): Scott Eckert This workshop will apply the Math Dept’s algebra review to address issues of required content and optional content, and levels of difficulty on required content. Also, where and how to integrate the graphing calculator, and testing issues. Lastly, we will open up to the group to share tips, strategies and best practices that instructors have used to enhance the learning experience in their 110 classes. So come prepare to share your favorite tip, trick or idea with the rest of the group. |
