Public Safety at Cuyamaca College

Public Safety is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We share officers with Grossmont, so staff faces change, but during business hours there is always at least one Police Officer, one Community Service Officer and one person at the Information Booth.

Basic information (where can I find...?) They will point you in the right direction. 

Dead battery... They have jumper cables available and will be glad to help out.

Locked your keys in the car... The officers will gladly retrieve them for you.

Forget your parking permit...  If you forgot your permit and have proof that you purchased one, they can give you a temporary permit, 

Special circumstances... Under extraordinary circumstances (e.g. ex-boyfriend stalking), they can offer you an escort from class to your car.

All students, staff, and faculty must display a valid parking permit while parked in all District lots. The parking permit is a license to park a specific vehicle in accordance with the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Parking Regulations. Parking permits may be purchased at the Cuyamaca College Cashier window. The purchase of a parking permit does not guarantee the purchaser of a parking space. The District is not responsible for lost or stolen parking permits. Lost or stolen permits must be replaced at the vehicle owner's expense. Replacement permits may be purchased at the Cuyamaca College Cashier window.

A single vehicle sticker permit costs $30. This type of permit may only be applied to windows with the adhesive that has been provided. All pieces of the adhesive covering must be removed with no loose or partial corners remaining. The permit may not be laminated, placed in a plastic sleeve, applied with scotch tape or displayed in any manner other than described. The single vehicle sticker permit IS NOT TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER VEHICLES. This type of permit must be displayed in one of the following locations to be valid:
1. On the rear window, either side, inside lower corner,
OR
2. Convertibles, open vehicles (Jeep-type) or vehicles with dark tint on the back window must affix the permit to the front windshield, either side, inside lower corner.
