New DLH Foundation Scholarship:
The DLH Foundation is pleased to announce its Deana
LaRae Hughes scholarship established in her memory. The foundation will
award as many as 3 scholarships of up to $1,200 each to deserving college
students whose lives have been affected by esophageal and/or stomach

The San Diego Chapter of
the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is offering scholarships to
community college, undergraduate, and graduate women in San Diego County who
are in pursuit of a degree in science, technology, engineering or
mathematics (STEM). Each year we award $1000 scholarships to
women pursuing degrees in the STEM fields in San Diego County. AWIS
San Diego scholarship recipients are not only achieving academic success,
they are also involved in community outreach programs related to their
fields of study, and AWIS San Diego is proud to support them in their

BBG Communications Scholarships
To be considered eligible for the
BBG Communications Scholarship you must be between the ages of 16
and 21 on June 30, 2012. Applicants must submit answers to the
two essay questions, which can be found on the application page,
prior to the June 30, 2012 deadline. Applicants must have at
least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time
of the award. All applicants have a GPA of 2.5 or greater and
be a citizen of the United States or Canada.
The scholarship winner will be announced on or around July 30, 2012
and will be posted on this website immediately after.

Big Dig Scholarships
Scholarship Eligibility: To be eligible for the "Big Dig
Scholarship" you must be able currently in the grade 12 and planning
on entering into your first year of college /university.

The scholarship is open to full time college students
who graduated from a high school in San Diego County
or college students living and attending college here
in San Diego. In addition, you must be a California resident. Student
demonstrates an interest in pursuing a career in the building industry. Many
majors such as advertising, finance, construction management, architecture,
carpentry, city planning, real estate, and interior design, to name a few,
play an integral role in the building industry.

California Restaurant
Association Scholarship
CRAEF has awarded deserving
students and educators more than one million dollars in
scholarships and grants. These scholarships are allocated to
eager and talented high school seniors and undergraduate
students who dream of pursuing higher education in the
restaurant, food service and hospitality industries. The
CRAEF Board of Directors carefully selects scholarship
recipients during an annual application and interview process.
Worthy recipients are chosen on the basis of their overall
scholastic achievement, enthusiasm, creativity and potential
within the industry.

California Retired
Teachers Association Scholarship 2012
Three $1,500.00 Scholarships available for
application by students pursuing a certificated teaching credential
from an accredited college. Applicants must be eligible for transfer in the
fall of 2012 (60 unit minimum) and have a 3.00 or higher GPA. Student must
verify eligibility with transcripts showing record and verify in essay the
desire to pursue a teaching career or major at the elementary, secondary or
college level in a public school setting. Interview will also be required.

Emancipated Youth Scholarship Criteria
12th grade student enrolling in a four-year College or University OR
currently attending a Community College and ready to transfer to a
four-year College or University Weighted Grade Point Average of 2.75
or above from ninth grade to first semester of 12th grade OR a
cumulative GPA of 2.5 for Community College courses Minimum SAT
score of 1,350 (not applicable for transfer students) or ACT score
of 19 Economically disadvantaged: HUD standard of poverty to serve
as a guide (Income information of parents or foster parents of
emancipated youth is not required) U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal
Resident Evidence of extracurricular activities (school/community
involvement/employment) Community Service and above average
attendance.

Executive
Women International (EWI) of San Diego Scholarship
EWI of San Diego annually
awards scholarship monies to help San Diegans achieve their academic
goals. EWI of San Diego will award two $2,500 Adult
Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) scholarships and honor the
two award recipients at the ASIST Scholarship Awards Dinner on June
19, 2012. Applications will be reviewed and qualified; independent judging
process begins, including personal interviews of top candidates.
Three award recipients will be selected and notified. All additional
applicants will be notified.

Healthy Lifestyles
Scholarship
The
Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship is open to currently enrolled high
school seniors or first-year college students. To be eligible for
this award, you must be a U.S. citizen, be under 25 years of age and
answer both of the following two essay questions: in under 1000
words, "Why is a healthy lifestyle important in school?" and in
under 500 words, describe your career plans, goals and personal
ambitions.
Award $
5,000 in scholarships.

Man Mac Automatic Scholarships
Scholarship eligibility: Be
enrolled or expect to be enrolled in an undergraduate program by the
Fall of 2012. The school you attend must be located within Canada or
the United States. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.75 in

Application Form and submit a Letter of Recommendation from

The National FFA Organization

Nursing (NHA) Scholarship 2012
Created by
NursingHomeAbuse.net, this scholarship is awarded
exclusively to an applicant who is pursuing a career that will help
combat nursing home abuse. A $5,000 scholarship will be
awarded to a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
This scholarship will help pay for non-tuition related expenses for the
2012-2013 academic year. Such expenses can include but are not limited
to: Rent, Childcare, Travel/Gas, Books/Supplies. Utilities, and

Udall Scholarships
(2012-2013):
In 2012, the Foundation expects to
award 80 scholarships of up to $5000 and 50 honorable mentions
of $350 to sophomore and junior level college students be
committed to a career related to the environment, OR committed to
a career in tribal public policy OR Native American health care.
- Only Native Americans and Alaska
Natives are eligible to apply in tribal public policy or Native
