Description

This course covers the social, political, economic, cultural and intellectual development of women in America from 1607 to 1877.

Course Objectives
      The student will be able to:

  1. Explain the major events of American history from the colonial period to 1877 from a woman's perspective and access the impact of those events on women.

  2. Describe the political, cultural and social contributions of women to American society.

  3. Evaluate significant theories of historical interpretation in order to develop his/her own understanding of the past.
