HIST 150: U.S. History: The Asian-American Experience I
 
(3 units, 3 hours lecture)
 
Introductory comparative analysis of the Asian-American experience from 1848 to World War II. Topics include the origins of the United States Constitution and the political philosophy of its framers; analysis of the Asian-American perspective, cultural roots, immigration and settlement patterns, labor, legal, political and social history. Emphasis on Chinese-Americans, Japanese-Americans, Filipino-Americans and other groups.
