Transfer Options If you have to delay your transfer to SDSU for a year you may still have transfer options. If you want to live in San Diego during the 2008-2009 academic year:Enroll in six units at Cuyamaca College and cross enroll in one upper division general education course at SDSU. The fee is $10 per course and you are limited to one course per semester. Make an appointment with a counselor to find out more about the cross enrollment policy at SDSU, CSU San Marcos and UCSD. Register for additional SDSU courses through the Open University program. The Open University registration fee is $199 per unit. Go to http://www.ces.sdsu.edu/open.asp for more information about the program. If your major is offered at a private university in San Diego, meet with a counselor to determine if you may be able to complete coursework at another institution and then transfer those units to SDSU. |

On Tuesday, October 21, the Cuyamaca College will host a very exciting joint University Transfer Fair with Got Plans? the Grossmont Union High School District's career and college fair that helps high school students prepare to go to a 2-year college, 4-year college, vocational/trade school, armed forces or directly into the work force. University Transfer Center and GUHSD will have a joint Transfer/Got Plans? Career and College Fair for the first time. The University Transfer Fair will be from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and GUHSD Got Plans? Career/College Fair will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This tremendous event brings representatives from over sixty-five colleges and universities to Cuyamaca College including out-of-state universities. Students can meet representatives from the California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), and Independent university campuses. |

The “priority application period” for the CSU is October 1 – November 30 while the UC accepts priority applications November 1 – 30. Most UC and many CSU campuses close after November 30 and all request that applications be completed on line. Application periods for Private/Independent colleges and universities vary. |
