Water & Wastewater Technology: 2004 Degree Options Requirements

    The Water and Wastewater Technology program is growing in response to changes in the industry.

    This degree program is designed to prepare students for employment by municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment departments or industrial treatment facilities. Careers in Water/Wastewater Technology generally involve the administration, operation and maintenance of both drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities as well as distribution and collection systems.

    Cross Connection Control Systems (Major Code: 51063)   - NEW MAJOR -

    Associate in Science Degree - completion of 28-30 units within major, plus general education

    Water Treatment Plant Operator (Major Code: 51060)

    Associate in Science Degree - completion of 29-32 units within major, plus general education

    Wastewater Treatment Operator (Major Code: 51061)

    Associate in Science Degree - completion of 29-32 units within major, plus general education

    Water Distribution Systems (Major Code: 51064)   - NEW MAJOR -

    Certificate of Achievement:  Students who complete only the major requirements for the above qualify for a Certificate of Achievement. An official request must be filed with the Admissions and Records Office prior to the deadline as stated in the Academic Calendar.
