Congratulations on having such a fine
cross-country season. We would like you to know that if you
decide to stay local and continue to develop in cross-country,
Cuyamaca College offers many advantages. Our district offers two
colleges, Cuyamaca and Grossmont College, at which you may
attend classes and still compete for Cuyamaca. This arrangement
offers the students a variety of majors and flexibility in
scheduling that is not available at any other community college.
Also, the Cuyamaca campus provides more of a community feel with
an enrollment under 8,000 students. Another advantage of our
college is that we are a young institution that offers state of
the art facilities in computers, laboratory science, ornamental
horticulture, liberal arts, child development, as well as
physical education.
The athletes joining
our program enjoy our fitness center which adds new equipment
every year to compliment an already vast array of the best
quality machine weights on the market. Our athletic medicine
facility and full-time athletic training staff offer top quality
support to help prevent any physical problem from hampering
sport performance.
The Coyote
Cross-country squad is still growing. We currently are
looking to increase that number for the next year. Our current
roster includes many fine returnees, but a community college
must replace those athletes that graduate and move on to
scholarships at four-year programs. We have had former athletes
on scholarship at UCLA, University of Oregon,
Rutgers, Nebraska, Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo, University of Missouri - KC, UCSB, San Jose State
University, Chico State, Northridge and San Diego State
University and many others. This is
where we hope you fit into our plans for the 2005 season. As
long as we are able to enroll quality athletes, such as
yourself, the future of Coyote Track and Field will remain
bright.
Please feel free to
request a recruiting packet from us at anytime via phone or
e-mail. All you have to do is fill out all the paperwork
enclosed (questionnaire, application, etc.) and we will process
it immediately. By filling out and submitting these papers, it
will in NO WAY bind you to compete for Cuyamaca or Grossmont
College. It would just be easier to have you already enrolled
should you finally decide to attend here.
Thank
you for expressing interest in joining the Cuyamaca Coyote Cross
Country team. If you have any questions, please contact us any
time at 619-660-4008.
Sincerely,
